Some wonderful pinot noir has been produced on the east coast, notably from Apsley Gorge, Freycinet, Craigieknowe and Spring Vale Vineyards. Other classic varieties also grow well, and some of the state’s best cabernet sauvignon can be found here, benefitting from the warmer climate.
