The Tasmanian Wine Centre is Hobart’s largest boutique wine retailer. We specialise in Tasmanian (and Australian) wines, although we have an ever growing collection of imported wines, as well as spirits, fortifieds, liqueurs, and boutique beers. The Tasmanian Wine Centre is owned and operated by David and Lindsey Johnstone. David has a long history in the wine and food industry in Tasmania. As well as selling and promoting wine in Australia David was for almost five years the wine writer for the Mercury newspaper group in Hobart, including The Sunday Tasmanian and the Saturday Evening Mercury. He is a wine educator and still writes occasional articles as a free-lance scribe. David’s enthusiasm for wine includes judging wine at the Royal Hobart Wine Show where he is a senior judge. David has judged in Hong Kong, Cowra, Perth and Melbourne. Lindsey also has a passion for wine having travelled to the wine regions of Europe and Australia.
