Planted in 1985 with pinot noir this three-acre vineyard on the eastern side of Hobart Airport has produced some outstanding wines over the years. Vintages from 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2001 in particular impressed wine show judges and the discerning public.
The wine has always been made by Hood Wines at Cambridge with the emphasis on letting the fruit speak for itself. These wines repay careful cellaring and develop burgundian characters with time.
