SPARKLING TASMANIA - Tasmania versus the rest!

Saturday 28th November 2009

The festive season is approaching and our thoughts turn to celebrations with family, friends and workmates. Sparkling wine is the traditional drink of celebration and to whet your appetites we are conducting a tasting of French and Australian bubbly, including one French wine valued at over $300. The Champagne and sparkling tasting will be chaired by Tasmanian winemaker, Claude Radenti, from Freycinet vineyard. While Freycinet Vineyard has an established and highly respected reputation for producing still wines, including Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling, Claude has also been making exceptional sparkling wine for many years. His current release (the 2000 Radenti) has been on yeast lees for 8 years, an indication of the investment in time and money that has been spent in producing sparkling wine of quality Seats will be limited to our tasting room capacity so please book early. The cost is $35 per person and the tasting starts at 2.00 pm. This will be a terrific tasting.
